Cabo Rojo is situated in the southern and most western part of the island. The town is surrounded by gorgeous Caribbean waters. No other town in Puerto Rico offers such a great variety of beaches in one location. You would need at least four days in Cabo Rojo to explore them all. All the beaches in Cabo Rojo are calm, with azure waters and white sand and very family friendly. Some beaches are very quiet, so you may have a spot all to yourself or you can choose to go to one of the more family friendly beaches with facilities, shopping and dining nearby.
Boqueron Bay Beach is a picture perfect beach beautifully framed by tall palm trees packed with coconuts. It is very family friendly with picnic tables, convenient parking, gazebos, handicap facilities, accommodations, cafeteria, playground, restrooms, and lots of palm trees perfect for a shaded nap on the beach.
The Beach of Buye is one of the prettiest beaches in the pueblo of Cabo Rojo. The clear calm light blue water with soft white sand are postcard perfect. Park under of one of the shaded sand spots under a tree or catch the perfect tan under the clear blue skies. Beautiful scenery of tall palm trees leaning towards the water towards the right curve of the calm Caribbean bay waters.
The Beach "El Combate" is one of the locals favorites and famous for parties. Take a dive into the blue calm waters from the dock or just relax and take on the sights of sailboats cruising and of course experience the famous breathtaking sunsets of Cabo Rojo.
Joyuda's beaches are great for snorkeling and kayaking since there are many areas with shallow waters so they are also very child friendly. Joyuda not only sports beautiful beaches, but Joyuda is famous for the best seafood in Porta del Sol.
